God told us through his disciples to communicate with him through prayer and listen to the teachings of his disciples in order to find salvation. Prayer is very easy and simple to perform. It can be spoken out loud or silently whichever your desire. Prayer is not an optional choice that we have to exercise. God wants us to pray to him to make connections with him.
God put us on this earth with a special purpose and only with prayer and closing that link with God will it be revealed to us. Unfortunately since we have the freedom to make our own choices, sometimes our purpose is not evident and things get cut short. So please, pray whenever you are able and close that link between you and God.
