What a shame having three famous and well appreciated people having to end their lives in that manner. Jayne Mansfield was well known and well liked by her admirers that saw her talents on stage and off stage.
It was fog draped evening that they were traveling along Rt. 90 near New Orleans and the road was windy which didn't help to get a clear view for any reasonable distance. She was traveling with Sam Brody and Ron Harrison along with her three children in the back seat asleep. The children were Mickey Hargitay Jr.,Zoltan Hargitay and Mariska Hargitay. Mariska went on to be a headliner on the TV show Law and Order.
They hit a truck that was traveling slow and went under the rear bumper and had the roof sheared off killing the three adults sitting in the front seat and not harming the three children.
