Senior Ways to Make Money

Now you are a senior citizen, and if you have already retired, maybe you are having second thoughts about working again. It could be full-time, part-time or seasonal. What job opportunities are available, especially the way our economy is today? Actually, there seems to be a lot to choose from, especially if you can familiarize yourself with the computer and internet.

There is definitely a lot to be said if you can "work from home." No commuting by car, therefore you are saving on gas and maintenance expenses. There are no set hours or boss looking over your shoulder. Maybe it just feels good to stay in your pajamas all day with your cup of coffee and computer. It must be great because today there are over forty million people working from home and the count gets greater each day. About every ten seconds someone in the world has started their own "computer/internet home based business" or other "work from home" job.

One type of computer/internet position is to become a "blogger." It is always easiest to blog about a subject that you feel very passionate about, which is usually your number one priority in life or 'close' to number one. You will learn about affiliates, keywords and literally know that you could write practically non-stop about your subject or product.

If you are someone that knows even basic computer knowledge, then you could build up a regular stream of monthly income with affiliate marketing. There is a lot of work in the beginning, but very little once the business has taken off, maybe only two to ten hours a week.

Another income avenue many seniors may not have thought about is being a dog sitter or pet sitter. People either bring their dog/pet to you or you stay at their home while they are gone. Your time "sitting" the pet may be during their workday, hospital stay, vacation, etc. Of course, it would not be the job for you if you do not like animals.
